We recognise that there are already a number of high quality play schemes available for children with disabilities or additional needs across the borough. Working Together For Change, Dudley MBC and current providers are working together with the aim of building on what we currently have to develop a coordinated service. Share your views on what you value most and what factors are important in choosing the appropriate play scheme for your child.
The survey should only take a few minutes to complete, and responses need to be submitted before 5pm on Friday 19 December 2014. The form can be completed online using the following link Dudley Holiday Play Scheme Survey or a paper copy can be requested by contacting 01384 573381

DUDLEY TRANSPORT BROKERAGE REVIEW PROJECT
The national charity Community Transport and a local sight loss charity, Beacon Centre in Sedgley, are taking the lead in this exciting initiative for users and operators of minibuses in the third sector within Dudley Metropolitan Council boundaries.
A feasibility study has commenced, with support from the Dudley Innovation Fund, to assess the potential for an independent brokerage service to be established with the aim of significantly improving the usage of existing minibus resources in the Borough. The study will draw and build upon the work done to date in the Borough on transport services, but it is vitally important that the views and opinions of groups who operate minibuses such as churches, scout groups and any other third sector organisation have an input into the study. The views of potential users of such a service are equally sought in order for the potential provision to be met as effectively as possible.
If you and/or your organisation wish to become part of the Review or just let your opinions be taken into account. Please contact;
Liz Sutton, Operations Manager, Community Transport.

Countdown to change: getting ready for reforms
The Council for Disabled Children is working as the Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Disability Strategic Reform Partner to the Department for Education. As part of this role we are running a ‘Countdown to Change programme,’ developing and collating information highlighting key aspects of the SEN reforms, as outlined in the Children and Families Bill.
Below is a selection of free key resources produced by CDC and our partners highlighting different aspects of changes to SEN and disability policy.
